January-May- McNair Scholars Mentors
Fellows were mentors to undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate school.

January – Freshman First Year Experience Panel
Fellows attended a freshman first-year experience class to convince students to pursue graduate school in engineering

February 17-NELSAMP Symposium 2017
Students and affiliated staff from the six universities (Northeastern, UMass Amherst, URI, Tufts, UConn, and WPI) of the New England LSAMP Alliance joined on February 17th for a day filled with learning, research opportunities, inspirational speakers, and new friendships.

Fellows helped with recruiting students to pursue graduate school at UConn, gave tours of campus, and presented research

March 3rd- College of Engineering Open House
Fellows talked with students who were interested in attending UConn for graduate school

March 9th- Chemistry Open House
Fellows helped with recruiting students to pursue graduate school at UConn, gave tours of campus, and presented research

March 21-March 24th- NSBE Conference
Participated in the conference and encouraged students to attend graduate school at UConn as well as pursue BD Program

Fall 2016

A. BD cohort bi-weekly meeting on Mondays from 12pm to 2pm location Castleman 306. Dates:9/12; 9/26; 10/10; 10/31; 11/7; 11/14; 11/28; 12/12

B. NELSAMP poster judging Boston Northeastern University ON Friday October 14th  from 1-8 PM.

C. GEM GradLab  panel participation , Broad Institute, Boston. Is on Saturday October 15th from 9-4 PM

D. End of the semester celebration on December 15th from 5-9 at the Spare Time in Vernon

F. North East chapter ASEE conference on April 28th from 9 am to 6 pm, location University of Rhode Island. (judging 120 posters at the conference)

G. Summer celebration June 16th at Aida’s house
